Date with a Rock Star

When 10-year old Gloria learned that one her very own idols, David Cook, was coming to town, she was ecstatic. And with a dedicated Dream Factory dream manager on her side, she not only got to see her idol in concert, she met him face-to-face!

Gloria was diagnosed with a germ cell brain tumor and is taking a dream trip to Disneyworld with her family. But knowing what a huge fan of David Cook she was, her dream manager Elaine Apel couldn’t help but try to make just one more dream come true for Gloria.

With the generous help from local Kansas City radio station Mix 93.3, Gloria received tickets to the Red, White and Boom concert, featuring David Cook AND had the opportunity to meet with David before the concert. She gave him one of her bracelets, which he wore during the show—Gloria was overwhelmed with excitement! It was a once in a lifetime experience that Gloria won’t soon forget.
