Some of us imagine far-away, storybook places. Others wish for a furry, four-legged friend or dream of meeting a hero. And if we are lucky, many of those dreams become part of our life’s journey.

But for children facing critical or chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cystic fibrosis, or cancer, the road can be far too short, leaving little time for big dreams to come true.

That is why the dream factory exists.

Since 1985, the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City has been dedicated to making dreams come true for critically or chronically ill children in our community. As a 100 percent volunteer organization, granting dreams is our mission and smiling children are our vision. For 40 years, our compassionate volunteers and generous business supporters have helped bring thousands of smiles to children and families.

From ocean cruises and new computers to Disney character visits and shopping sprees,we proudly grants dreams of all shapes and sizes throughout the Kansas City area.

For children and families who live each day with uncertainty, a granted dream offers a moment of joy, a ray of hope, and memories that last a lifetime.
